Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2025

PageWatch.app (“PageWatch,” “we,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use PageWatch, how we use it, and the limited circumstances in which we share it. We keep things simple: we collect the minimum data needed to run the service, we never sell your personal information, and we use privacy-friendly analytics.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account details: Your name (when provided) and email address collected through authentication.
  • Service content: Monitor names, target URLs, screenshots, actions, and notification preferences that you configure.
  • Billing information: Subscription and payment details processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card data.
  • Support messages: Information you choose to share when contacting us for help.
  • Usage data: Basic technical logs (such as request timestamps and error diagnostics) needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How We Use Data

  • Provide, maintain, and improve PageWatch functionality.
  • Send essential emails about monitors, account updates, or billing.
  • Offer customer support and troubleshoot issues.
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent misuse.
  • Generate anonymized analytics that help us understand product usage.

3. Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to measure page visits and general engagement. Umami does not use cookies, does not identify individual visitors, and stores only aggregated metrics such as page views, referrers, and device types. You can block analytics scripts in your browser if you prefer not to share this information.

4. Sharing Data

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with:

  • Trusted service providers (such as hosting, email, analytics, and payment vendors) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities when required to comply with the law or respond to valid legal requests.

5. Data Retention and Security

We retain account and monitor data for as long as your workspace is active and delete it when you close your account or ask us to remove it, subject to legal obligations (for example, basic billing records). We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect stored data and limit internal access to team members who need it to operate the service.

6. Your Choices

You can update monitor settings, pause alerts, or close your account at any time from the dashboard. Contact us if you want to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. We respond to privacy requests within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. When changes are material, we will post the revised policy here and adjust the date above. Continuing to use PageWatch after the update means you accept the new policy.
